We believe that food matters!
We pledge to operate as a sustainable business, to involve the community as much as possible, and to reduce our food waste.
Where possible we distribute surplus food and focus on fresh produce and support local gardening projects. We are determined to continue improving when it comes to the food we buy and make. We want to do all we can to support a joined-up and holistic approach to food in the city.
We are always looking at ways to develop a wider range of plant-based menus. We create menus that look to promote good health and wellness. Nutrition is a crucial part of a healthy lifestyle – as sustainable caterers the health of our diners is central to our menus.
The proof is in the pudding!

Soil Association certificate
Kate’s Kitchen Catering Ltd are super proud to have achieved Food for Life Served Here Gold certification in July this year, for our Corporate Menus, from the Soil Association for serving healthy and sustainable meals at Unit 11, Windmill Farm Business Centre, Bristol.
Food for Life Served Here certification verifies the food on the plate, to support caterers to demonstrate their commitment to climate, nature, and health through the food purchased and served.
Food for Life Served Here certified meals are freshly prepared by trained chefs. All ingredients are free from additives, artificial trans fats and GM ingredients. The meat served can be traced back to the farm and meets or exceeds UK animal welfare standards, eggs are free range, fish is sustainable, and menus make the most of seasonal ingredients. All of which reduces the environmental impact of menus.
Corporate sponsorship
Kate’s Kitchen are proud corporate sponsors of Square Food Foundation. This fantastic Bristol based charity has been teaching people of all ages and abilities how to cook for over 25 years.
Their aim is to reduce hunger, build confidence, social skills, and mental wellbeing by empowering people with the skill of cookery. Having better knowledge of food and the skills to create a tasty meal with fresh ingredients also promotes better health and brings people together who may otherwise be isolated.
Square Food Foundation provide cooking classes to children from primary school age, to families that rely on food banks, those challenged by mental health, young people who don’t fit into mainstream education, and young adults not in education, employment, or training (NEET).

Leading the way with food sustainability
We are proud to have been part of the Bristol Good Food 2030 Action Plan.
The way all of us produce, buy, cook, eat and throw away food in Bristol is important. It impacts our health, our communities, and our economy, and contributes to the climate and ecological emergencies the planet faces today.
By taking action for good food as a city, we can build a food system that is good for Bristol, and lead other cities in the UK and across the globe in co-creating a food system that’s good for everyone. Check out the Action Plan that we are part of.

Let’s fill Bristol with trees!

During this allegiance, over 100,000 trees have been planted across Bristol city and the aim is to plant 5000 more this year.
